The Virginia Union University Doctoral regalia is constructed of black Gabardine fabric with scarlet velvet panels and chevrons. Silver braid outlines the front panels and chevrons.
The doctoral hood is constructed of black Gabardine fabric with scarlet velvet. The cap is a black velvet 8-sided tam with a silver bullion tassel.
