The West Virginia University Doctor gown and hood are constructed of Gabardine fabric in midnight blue without cuffs or hem braid. The gown features royal blue velvet panels and chevrons outlined with an antique gold braid. The WVU patch is sewn on the front panel, chest high, left side as worn. The cap is a royal blue velvet 8 sided tam with a gold silk tassel.
